KARGIL: Police Post Sankoo, in collaboration with Bajaj Finance Ltd., conducted a cyber crime awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Sangrah, on Tuesday, sensitising students, teachers and local residents to online fraud, financial scams and safe digital practices.
The programme focused on risks associated with digital transactions and online platforms, with participants advised to exercise caution while sharing personal or financial information and while carrying out transactions online.
Students, teachers and residents were briefed about common forms of online and financial fraud and the need to adopt responsible digital practices to guard against cyber-related offences.
The organisers also emphasised greater vigilance among young people and members of the local community, given their increasing reliance on digital platforms for communication, financial transactions and other services.
The awareness session was conducted by the In-Charge Police Post Sankoo in collaboration with Bajaj Finance Ltd. as part of efforts to strengthen community awareness about cyber crime and promote safer use of digital services in the area.
