LEH: A delegation of Nambardars from the Sham region called on former LAHDC Leh Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson to thank him for his support regarding the recent notification concerning Sham and the establishment of a High Court Bench in Ladakh.
The delegation expressed gratitude on behalf of the region to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena for their support on the issues.
During the interaction, Gyalson also felicitated the newly appointed Nambardars of Khaltsi and Lamayuru.
In a separate interaction, filmmaker Sahil Shah met Gyalson to acknowledge the support extended to the upcoming Ladakhi feature film Birds on Ice during his tenure as Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Leh. Shah presented Gyalson with a promotional cap as a token of appreciation.
Shah informed Gyalson that Birds on Ice has been officially selected for its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. The film’s trailer was recently screened at the Leh Ice Hockey Rink during the finale of the Rimo Ice Hockey Championship and received a positive response from sports enthusiasts and local youth.
Gyalson congratulated the director, cast and crew for bringing Ladakh’s ice hockey culture to the international screen and wished the team success for the film’s release and international festival journey.
