LEH: Students from participating schools showcased innovative models and hands-on projects at the Skill Expo & Guidance Festival 2026-27 held at TCV Choglamsar, as educators and experts introduced them to emerging technologies and skill-based education and career opportunities.
Organised by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, School Education Department, UT Ladakh, in collaboration with the CBSE Skill Education Department, the event brought together students, educators and young innovators for a day of exhibitions, guidance sessions and interaction.
Bhanu Prabha, Administrative Secretary, School Education and Skill Education, UT Ladakh, attended the programme as the chief guest, while Dr Biswajit Saha, Director, Skill Education, CBSE, was the guest of honour.
Among the other dignitaries present were Dr Ravinder Pal Singh, Additional Director, and Saitsh Pahal, Joint Director, Skill Education, CBSE, New Delhi. The programme began with a welcome address by Dhondul Jigme, Principal, TCV Choglamsar.
Students from participating schools presented a range of innovative models and projects, demonstrating their creativity, conceptual understanding and practical skills. The exhibition provided them with an opportunity to apply classroom learning through hands-on projects and present their ideas before educators and other participants.
The guidance component of the programme focused on emerging areas of education and employment. Sessions were conducted by Dr Subrat Sharma, Er Kunzes Dolma, Dorjey Angchuk, Pooja Arora and Mohd Salim.
The experts interacted with students on emerging technologies, animation, visual effects (VFX), gaming and future educational and career opportunities, providing an overview of skill-based fields and avenues available to young learners.
The organisers said the programme was aimed at encouraging students to explore practical learning, innovation and emerging career pathways while strengthening awareness of skill education.
