Dr Indresh Kumar calls for stronger outreach across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh

JAMMU: A delegation of the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) met senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Dr Indresh Kumar in Jammu to review the organisation’s activities in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and discuss its future expansion strategy.
The delegation, led by Dr Vivek Sharma, President of BTSM for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and National Co-Convenor of the organisation’s Intellectual Forum, briefed Dr Indresh Kumar on the initiatives being undertaken to promote awareness about Tibet, strengthen national integration, preserve India’s civilisational and cultural heritage, and enhance public engagement across the Himalayan region.
According to a press release, the discussions centred on the organisation’s ongoing programmes and its roadmap for expanding outreach across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The delegation outlined efforts to deepen people-to-people engagement and broaden participation in activities related to the Himalayan region.
Dr Indresh Kumar reviewed the organisation’s progress and advised the delegation on strengthening grassroots engagement. He underlined the importance of promoting national unity, cultural harmony and public awareness about the historical, strategic and spiritual importance of Tibet and the Himalayan region.
The meeting also examined measures to reinforce intellectual, cultural, educational and youth-oriented initiatives while improving coordination among BTSM units operating across the three regions. Greater public participation and organisational coordination were also discussed as part of the expansion strategy.
Dr Indresh Kumar appreciated the work undertaken by the organisation and encouraged its members to continue their activities with discipline, commitment and a spirit of public service.
The meeting concluded with the organisation reaffirming its commitment to expanding its activities across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh while working towards promoting Indo-Tibetan friendship, preserving shared civilisational values and strengthening social harmony and awareness of India’s Himalayan heritage.
The delegation also included Rajinder Sadotra and other senior office-bearers and members of the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch.
