NYOMA: Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, the Naib Tehsildar, Nyoma, conducted a detailed inspection of the LAHDC Petrol Pump, Nyoma, on Tuesday to assess compliance with prescribed standards relating to fuel quality, cleanliness and public safety.
During the inspection, officials carried out a thorough examination of the quality and purity of fuel being supplied to consumers to ensure adherence to established norms and safeguard consumer interests.
The inspection also focused on sanitation and public convenience facilities at the fuel station. Washrooms were checked for cleanliness and hygiene, with the management instructed to ensure that sanitary facilities remain functional and properly maintained at all times.
Officials further verified the availability and placement of dustbins across the premises and directed the management to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility. Instructions were issued to maintain a hygienic environment for consumers and staff alike.
Road safety compliance also came under review during the inspection. The petrol pump management was directed to strictly enforce safety regulations by refraining from dispensing fuel to two-wheeler riders who are not wearing helmets.
The exercise forms part of the District Administration Changthang’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of public services, promote cleanliness and reinforce road safety measures across the region. Officials said such inspections would continue to ensure compliance with prescribed standards and enhance public welfare.
